We are honoured to be asked to contribute and do so with pleasure.
Our family’s language learning journey has been supported by Soft Landing since our arrival in Switzerland 8 years ago. The team at Soft Landing helped, myself, husband and daughter go from little for no German experience to passing our Goethe B2 level exams. We have enjoyed private and group and holiday lessons and have learnt from an engaging and dedicated team of teachers.
I am not a ‘linguist’ and did not have a sound grasp of grammar even in my mother tongue.Harry’s love of language and his ability to summarise grammar learning into meaningful, bite size pieces helped me not only to understand the rules but also to speak with confidence and fluency.
We also particularly liked Soft Landing’s uniquely ‘local’ approach to learning. We learnt about customs, practicalities and places that were local and relevant to our lives in Zug.
Harry and his team have supported not only our German language acquisition, but also our daughter’s love of language with French lessons to complement her language learning in school, and help her achieve her ambition of gaining the DELF B2 in French.
